I didn’t always want to be a teacher.  As a teenager I found younger children to be very difficult, but then I was a teenager that saw the world through limited eyes.  After growing up and having my own children I saw a light shining within all these children coming into my life.  I wanted to be part of that light.  I think many adults know this—childhood is very special.  So I proceeded with the task to become a teacher.  It took a few years while raising my own children and moving my family across the country.  Finally, I achieved my goal.  As a teacher I continued to work hard and received my Masters in Education.  I was already Florida Certified and fulfilled the requirements to become National Board Certified.

As with any beginning there is an ending.  That ending came in 2011 when I decided to leave public education.  Using Tutoring Plus as my catalyst it is my goal to help educate children using their individual strengths to achieve their personal successes. The ultimate goal being a lifelong love of learning!
